Small Groups - Fall 2021

BUMC has three small group offerings available for
adults this fall:

We Are United Methodists (online only)
This 4-week online class is for anyone who is new to our church or who would simply like to learn more about our denomination. Join Rev. HiRho on Fridays at 6:00 pm (starting September 10th) on Zoom. Please email Kris@washmorefeet.org for the Zoom info.

❖ Who Are We? (online and in-person)
We are excited to begin a new small group study this fall called “Who Are We? A Journey from Head to Heart.” This study, written by Bishop Easterling and the Baltimore-Washington Conference, is broken up into three 6-week sessions the first of which will start on Tuesday September 14th, 7:30 pm, in-person and online. Part 1 (Who Are We as a People of God?) will run through October 19th. Part 2 (Who Are We as the People Called Methodists?) will run from October 25th - November 30th. Finally, Part 3 (Who Are We as the
People of the Baltimore-Washington Conference?) will meet January 11th- February 15th. You are welcome to join us for one, two, or all three parts, as your schedule allows. You can find more information here. To signup, contact Rev. Scott (scott@washmorefeet.org).

❖ Racial Inclusion & Communion (online only)
You are invited to join us on Thursdays at 7:30 pm beginning September 23rd for a six-week Bible Study written and led by Shaw Brewer about how Communion relates to racial inclusion and living in the Christian community as one. Over this time, we will look at where we have been, focusing on how people used scripture to justify slavery, where we are, and where we should be going. Email Shaw Brewer (shawbrewer@gmail.com) to signup or for additional details.

We also have 3 Sunday School offerings starting this fall, on Sept 12th.  All of the Sunday School Classes are open to all.  Please check out our Sunday Schools Page for more info about PTR, Beyond, and Faith-Filled Parenting.
